The cold chain logistics platform company Thermo Lab Korea (CEO Seok Choi) announced it has established the “patent portfolio of the cold chain logistics packaging platform” on the 14th of this month.
The company plans to provide services such as temperature controlled packaging (TCP), E-Paper Display (EPD), cloud-based data logger, and an app/web-type control solution integrated with logistics at a contracted monthly rate in the fresh food and bio logistics field requiring constant temperature management. With 20 patent applications including a cloud-based “cold chain logistics platform” and a “delivery system including EPD,” the enterprise completed the “packaging platform patent portfolio.” The patent portfolio is also expected to keep expanding in tandem with Web 3.0.
The patent portfolio is divided into hardware (H/W) and software (S/W). The H/W patents cover cold chain and reusable logistics packaging, a phase-changing refrigerant and dedicated container, cloud-based data logger, and EPD, so the relation among form factors are acknowledged as rights. The S/W patents include data logger operation applications, logistics control ∙ monitoring, and solutions for each logistics channel. They also uphold the connectivity right between mobile and web channels.
A person concerned in the company said, “We plan to review our technology by drawing up a scale-up and new patent application strategies via patent map diagnosis on the Web 3.0 technology jointly with our patent subsidiary. We will further present a new standard in the smart packaging market by preemptively taking a leading position than other competitors while preventing technical infringement.”
The person added, “One of the incomparable characteristics of our PaaS platform is offering a novel, effortless, and convenient logistics experience to our shipper customers desiring a high value-added logistics service by enabling them to subscribe to our platform requiring no additional H/W infrastructure besides the existing delivery vehicles .”
The company has also developed and supplied eco-friendly packaging solutions to logistics conglomerates including Market Kurly and Coupang in the last mile delivery market with its unrivalled technical expertise in green packaging. Moreover, it is suggesting a new standard in the smart packaging market with its cold chain logistics platform by overcoming the limits of the traditional packaging technology via the MoU signed with global enterprise E ink.
